Is KSUstudents.com run by Kennesaw State University or the KSU bookstore?
No! KSUstudents.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by Kennesaw State University. We compete with the KSU bookstore by providing a better way to buy and sell textbooks, which saves students money. KSUstudents.com is an independently owned business created by Kennesaw State University alumni.
You have a book you don’t want, and are offended by the low buyback offer. You list your book for sale at a reasonable price on KSUstudents.com. Another KSU student wants your book. You exchange messages with her through KSUstudents.com to confirm the price and arrange to meet. You meet in a public place and exchange the book for cash. You get more money than the buyback table offered; the other student pays less than the bookstore charges. You are both happy and tell a friend (please).
Does KSUstudents.com buy or sell textbooks?
No. KSUstudents.com is an exchange for students to buy and sell direct with other students. When you sell a book, you sell it directly to another student. When you buy a book, you buy it directly from another student.

How do I register for an account?
Visit the new user registration page. After you complete the information page, a confirmation email will be sent to your students.kennesaw.edu email address. You’ll need to confirm your account by following the instructions in the email. Once you’re confirmed, you’re ready to take control of your textbooks with KSUstudents.com.
Why do I have to confirm my account?
KSUstudents.com is only for KSU students. That way you don’t have to deal with packing tape and the not-so-friendly people of the post office (i.e., shipping to students in other schools and states). Also, confirmation means students can only open one account. Shady dealers cannot hide behind dozens of accounts, so KSUstudents.com works better for you and every other KSU student.

When you’re sure your inbox is not full, click this link to resend the confirmation email. Follow the prompts to have the confirmation email resent. If you still have issues, drop us a line from the contact us form and we’ll make sure we get the message to you.
I’m not a Kennesaw State University student. Can I use this site?
Sorry, no. KSUstudents.com was created for KSU students only. We’re keeping it local to remove the hassle and delay of shipping and ensure students have the opportunity to meet face-to-face and get cash on the spot. If you would like to see the same service provided at your school, let us know and we’ll see what we can do to help.
How do buyers and sellers communicate on KSUstudents.com?

Should I include my email address or phone number in my listings?
No! For the sake of privacy, do not include you personal contact info in your listings. In fact, we may remove listings where contact information is included in the notes. When another student is interested in your book they will contact you through KSUstudents.com. If you wish, you are welcome to include your phone number or email address in messages you exchange with other students, but not in your listing notes.
What price should I list my book for?
Less than the bookstore’s price. Students want to save money on their textbooks (that’s kind of why we’re here). Don’t be greedy. Price your textbook well enough below the bookstore’s price to generate interest. Here’s a hint: If the bookstore is selling the book for $100, students probably won’t be interested in buying your book for $95. If you know what the buyback table is offering for the book, consider splitting the difference.

Yes. On your account homepage, select ‘Manage My Listings.’ Choose the book you want to update and select the ‘Change Price’ tab.

When should I mark a book as ‘Pending Sale’?
Mark a book as ‘Pending Sale’ when you have a student who wants to buy your book, but you have not completed the sale. Think of it like an under contract sign on a house for sale. You are in negotiations, but anything could happen. Students will still see your listing when they search for the book and see that a sale is pending. They will still be able to send you messages, as well.
When should I mark a book as ‘Sold’?
You should not mark your book as sold until it has actually sold. If you’re still holding the book, it has not sold. If someone has told you they want it, mark the listing as ‘Pending Sale’ until you have made the exchange. Once your listing is marked as sold, it is locked; it cannot be seen by other students, and cannot be modified.
